- 500 ml vegetable oil for deep frying the chicken
- For the batter :
- 6 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 150 ml water
- 3 cloves ground garlic
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Coating ingredients:
- 250 gr cornflakes
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 1/4 tsp chili powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
Instructions to make to make Chicken Cornflakes
- In a food processor, grind cornflakes, for a while, into smaller pieces (please don’t over grind).
- In a bowl, add cornflakes with the other coating ingredients. Mix well. Set aside. in a different bowl, mix all batter ingredients well.
- Dip the chicken into batter ingredients.
- Press the chicken slowly and evenly in coating ingredients.
- Deep fry the chicken over medium high heat until crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the pan. Place the chicken on the paper towel to absorb the excessive oil.
- Serve chicken with chili sauce or tomato ketchup or mayonnaise. Yum! 😋
